Following a successful debut at Thunder Road on Sunday, the first piece of the 2023 schedule has been put in place for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series.
Management at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, in conjunction with the operators of the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, announced Wednesday that the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series will again be a part of Memorial Day weekend at the historic Barre, Vt. bullring in 2023.
The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event will be held on Sunday May 28, 2023.
“We’ve been building a great relationship with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track folks for some time down at Thompson Speedway,” Thunder Road co-owner Cris Michaud said in a release. “We finally made it work for them to come to Thunder Road and the outcome could not have been greater. From all ends, the fans, teams, officials, we received so many positive comments it was just common sense to have them back again in 2023.”
The Granite City 100 Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series will be part of the 60th Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic weekend at Thunder Road.
“We’re planning on making our 60th Memorial Day Classic one for the ages, and having the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series back at Thunder Road is an integral part of that plan,” Michaud said.
In front of a huge crowd, Chase Dowling won Sunday’s Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event at Thunder Road. It marked the first Tour Type Modified event at Thunder Road since 2010.
“First time there and it was a packed house, a raucous crowd, competitors were happy, staff was happy, hell yeah we’re going back there,” Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series operating partner Ed Bennett said.
Great news… Another date for the Schedule… I would really like to see a 10 Race Schedule in the Future with Stafford and other tracks added like Lee.. along with the
Star , Seekonk , Monadnock shows… Tri- Track just puts on Fantastic shows…
Heat races are great and the fans love those in New England….
