Chris Pasteryak – I Do It To Have Fun!

Second generation driver Chris Pasteryak of Moosup has been behind the wheel of a modified long enough to know when it is time to sit back and have fun. This year Pasteryak will continue to run the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and selected Open Modified races.

When you show up at the track sometime the team has the No. 5 car and other times the No. 75 car. Can you explain why?

“The Troyer car still had a No. 5 on it and we run it at Stafford [Speedway]. We just left the car alone. That was the car that dad [Charlie Pasteryak] ran a couple of times and it has been ready to go. After we wrecked at the Spring Sizzler, we just started running that one and we left the car alone. That is all.
I have had so many different numbers during my racing career it does not really matter to me.”

Plans for 2022 Summarized:

We are going to keep running all the Tri-Track races, Stafford races and all these open events.  Pretty much the open shows that are in Connecticut.

Looking back would you have done anything different?

I am happy. I do it to have fun. I do not do it to make a living. I try to pick and choose where I can go to have the most fun.

Late Uncle Carl Pasteryak and the Pasteryak Racing Family:

It is still weird going to the race track without him. Even when he did not come I would be on the phone with him after practice.  He was the first person that I called when I hopped in the car to drive home, so it is strange but we are getting through it.
