First Timer: Timmy Solomito To Make Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Debut At Speedbowl Event

The entry list for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Belltown Motors/Fowler’s Auto Wrecking 100 presented by CBYD 811 keeps is inflating seemingly by the hour with who’s who names of Tour Type Modified racing. 

Add Timmy Solomito to that list. 

Solomito confirmed to RaceDayCT Thursday that he has entered the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event on Aug. 6 at the Speedbowl. 

It will mark Solomito’s first time competing in a Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series event. 

“Waterford is an awesome racetrack and I’m really looking forward to running with the Tri-Track Series,” Solomito told RaceDayCT. “It will be a first time for me. I’ll be driving my family owned No. 66 that my father and I just finished building.” 

Solomito is a nine-time winner on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

Solomito announced Wednesday that he’ll compete in the Baldwin, Evans, Jarzombek Memorial 77 Tour Type Modified event Saturday at Riverhead Raceway driver for the No. 46 Goodie Racing. 

“As of right now my deal with … [team owner] Russell Goodale is a race to race basis,” Solomito said. “I’m looking forward to running a handful of races for them and we will see where it goes. Russell and his team are great people. I’m excited for the opportunity. I raced Legend cars for the Goodale’s many years ago and had good success so hopefully we can continue that.”

  1. This is going to be a really good show. So happy the Speedbowl is still alive and well. More laps are run at this track than any other track in CT
