The racing resume of Tom Fearn at Stafford Motor Speedway is already overflowing with superlatives.

Fearn is a six-time champion at Stafford and is the track’s all-time winningest Late Model driver.

Friday the East Longmeadow, Mass. driver added another big checked box on his list of Stafford achievements.

Fearn ran away with victory in the 30-lap Late Model feature Friday at Stafford.

It was the first victory of the season for Fearn and his 75th career feature win overall at the historic half-mile. Fearn’s last win came on May 14, 2021.

“We’ve been close,” Fearn said. “We’ve been working on things. We made a complete change this week and I guess it worked so we’ll come back next week and try again.”

Fearn has 17 career victories in the old Pro Stock division from 1992 to 2000. He now has 58 wins in the Late Model division since 2004. He has three Pro Stock championships and three Late Model championships.

Adam Gray of Belchertown was second, keeping up a torrid pace since the start of June. It was the sixth consecutive podium finish for Gray. He had four consecutive victories in June and Friday was his second consecutive second place finish.

“He’s been the man to beat this year,” Fearn said. “He was second so I guess we did our job tonight. Hopefully we can come back next week a little bit better and do it again.”

Said Gray: “This car was a little bit tight tonight. Congrats to Tommy. … This whole field is a bunch of good cars. To be able to keep this podium run going, I’m pretty stoked for me and my crew.”

Darrell Kean of Enfield was third.
