STAFFORD – Division points leader Travis Hydar of Woodbury scored his fourth victory of the season in the 20-lap Street Stock feature Friday at Stafford Speedway.

Hydar used a lap 14 restart to set up leader Bert Ouellette, getting by Ouellette to take the lead for good on lap 15.

“The other week I misjudged being clear low on the final restart of the race and it blew my shot to win the race,” Hydar said. “I kept that in the back of my head and I wanted to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”

Ouellette, of Ellington, hung on for second place finish.

“I really wanted that W,.” Ouellette said. “… Just got a little too free in the middle [of the corners] on the long run. Otherwise I really felt we had something for Travis tonight. He was smart, he got me when he knew had the opportunity. Congrats to him, they’ve just been fast this year.”

Jason Finkbein of Manchester was third.

Gary Patnode of Barkhamstead got his second win of the season in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature.

Devon Jencik of Canton was second and Jay Clement of Wethersfield third.

Patnode passed Clement for the lead on lap 13 and never trailed again.

“What a run, what a run,” Patnode said. “That was probably the best run I’v ever had right there. What did we go ninth to first? Hot dog.”
