(Press release from Souza Media)
Justin Bonsignore and the Ken Massa Motorsports team are heading south this Saturday, August 27, with just five races remaining in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season. Bonsignore will compete in the Checkeredflag.com 150 – as the Whelen Modified Tour returns to Langley for the first time since 2018.
In two previous starts at the track, Bonsignore has two top-five finishes. Last time, Bonsignore led 25 laps and finished second to Ryan Preece after 150 laps at Langley.
This time around, the three-time series champion will hope to use Langley as a boost to close the gap in the championship standings, where he sits fourth, 25 points from the lead, heading for the stretch run.
“Langley is a flat track where drive off the corner matters a lot, especially late in the race,” Bonsignore said. “We’re looking forward to heading back down to Virginia. We have two races out of the five left this season down south and we always enjoy hitting the road for a race weekend. We are coming off a top-five finish at Thompson and look forward to building on that at Langley.”
The race schedule for the Checkeredflag.com 150 at Langley includes one practice from 3-4 p.m., followed by Mayhew Tools qualifying at 5:30 p.m. The green flag for the Checkeredflag150.com race is scheduled for 8:30 p.m., live on FloRacing.TV for those who can’t make it to the track.

Did I miss the results from Lincoln Tech Open Modified 80?
Yes you did miss the results and apparently missed the opportunity to get a point deducted from your score by picking the pole winner at Langley.

I might actually make the race since I’ll be in DC. I’ll be at the beautiful whisky bar at the Watergate Hotel tomorrow night and we’ll see what happens from there… I love Foggy Bottom! Bottoms up boys!
interesting.. i expected to see some big names out of the southernboys\bowman-grey crowd at this race.. maybe it’s early yet…
Oh I need to pick a pole… I’ll go with 51.

OK let me try that again.
Responding to Just Me-The Original you’ll find the Pick 6 results for the
Stafford race in the thread “Blackjack: Ronnie Williams Hits 21st Career SK Modified Victory At Stafford Speedway”.
Type in “blackjack” in the search box in the upper right hand corner and Bob’s your uncle it will come right up.
Referencing the southern crowd….best guess is that those wanting, willing and able to run places other than BGS are committing their resources to running the SMART tour. I did however expect to see Bohn and Davis on the entry list. No surprise with everyone else…..
Even though I can watch it on Flo, I’ll be making the 4.5 hour drive to support the tour and Langley for having the race.

Looks like a lot of the raceday ct brethren are picking the 16 this weekend to get monkey off his back. I wanted to pick him to win, and i hope he does, but i think coby will have more motivation to win, given his, er, shall i say interaction, with the 7ny at thompson. So, Doug, if you please,
7NY, 16, 3, 51,58, 22, pole, 51.
Thanks for doing this Doug.
