With six races to go in the 2022 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, Justin Bonsignore and the Ken Massa Motorsports team will get back to work this week in Connecticut. Set for a mid-week event in the Phoenix Communications 150, the tour will return to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the first time since 2020, with race night set for Wednesday, August 17, at 8 p.m., live on FloRacing.TV.

Out of all active drivers entering Wednesday’s event, Bonsignore has the most wins at Thompson with 12. In 39 career starts there, he also has 20 top-five finishes and 26 inside the top-10.

In his last 10 starts alone on the high-banked oval, Bonsignore has seven wins and top-five finishes in every race.

“This is going to be a very important race for us, especially with Phoenix Communications sponsoring it,” Bonsignore said. “Phoenix has been a fantastic partner with all of us at Ken Massa Motorsports and winning their event would be a top moment of our time together. I always enjoy heading back to Thompson. It’s a place we’ve had a lot of success before and we’re excited to go there in what will be a special event with packed grandstands.”

Thompson’s race day schedule for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour includes one practice session from 4-5 p.m., followed by Mayhew Tools qualifying at 6:20 p.m. The green flag for the Phoenix Communications 150 is slated to drop at 8 p.m. and will air live on FloRacing.TV.
