(Press release from Thunder Road International Speedbowl)

The Maine-based Pro All Stars Series (PASS) returns to Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road for their tenth turn ‘round the historic highbanks this Friday, September 30th. The four division Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Milk Bowl Friday features the return of the PASS Super Late Models, the New England Supermodified Series (NESS), the Kennebec Equipment PASS Modifieds and the White Mountain Motorsports Park Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will also make the trip to Central Vermont for their own $1,000 to win, 50 lap main event!

All of the top Super Late Model teams in the Northeast will be making the trip to Vermont, many of which have tasted success at the iconic quarter mile in the past. Leading the fray is  current PASS North point leader and former Milk Bowl polesitter Ryan Kuhn joined by former Vermont Milk Bowl champion Eddie MacDonald as the two battle for the season-long championship. Also making the trek is 2022 Labor Day Classic champion and current American-Canadian Tour point leader D.J. Shaw, former King of the Road track champion Bobby Therrien and defending Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Milk Bowl Friday winner Trevor Sanborn.

While still searching for Super Late Model success at The Road, a young pair of Oxford Plains Speedway champions are seeking glory in Vermont. While Max Cookson dominated in 2021 to take the PASS Modified win, Gabe Brown is looking to increase his career best 5th-place finish at the tricky quarter mile. New England standout Jimmy Renfrew Jr., young Kate Re, Joe Pastore and former Oxford 250 winner Jeremie Whorff are also among the Super Late Model entries.

Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Milk Bowl Friday will serve as the penultimate event for the Kennebec Equipment Rentals PASS Modifieds. Windham, Maine’s Garrett Lamb currently holds a 42-point lead over Auburn’s Brandon Varney as the Mods come down to the end. Thunder Road could throw a curveball into all their plans before the PASS Modifieds head home to Oxford Plains Speedway on October 15th to crown their 2022 champion.

The New England Supermodified Series (NESS) returns to the track that started it all after their inaugural race was held at the Barre Speedbowl in June. Manchester, Connecticut’s Rob Summers currently holds a slim 11-point advantage over Pelham, New Hampshire’s Russ Wood. Following their lightning-fast feature on Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Milk Bowl Friday, NESS joins in on the 60th Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing presented by Budweiser at Thompson Speedway on Saturday, October 8th before crowning their champion at Connecticut’s New London-Waterford Speedbowl alongside PASS and ACT on Saturday, October 29th.

The first of three White Mountain Motorsports Park divisions invades their sister track on Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Milk Bowl Friday as the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models take on Thunder Road for their $1,000 to win 50 lap special.
