General Manager Joe Bassett Out At Claremont Motorsports Park

The tenure of Joe Bassett as Claremont (N.H.) Motorsports Park general manager proved to be a short one.

Claremont Motorsports Park ownership announced late Tuesday through a posting on Facebook that Bassett will no longer serve as general manager at the facility.

A statement from the track read: “Claremont Motorsports Park after much consideration had decided to go in another with the General Manager position. We appreciate all Joe Bassets (sic) hard work and dedication, [New Hampshire Short Track Racing Association] and Claremont Motorsports Park wish him well in his future endeavors. A new General Manager of Claremont Motorsports Park will be forthcoming shortly.”

Bassett had previously worked as general manager at Lee USA Speedway through the 2022 season before recently being named to the same position at Claremont.

  1. Seems to me that you have 4 guys maybe 6 (the New Hampshire Connection) that run most of the tracks up north.. And,, they all seem to collude with each other ( that’s not a bad thing).. So what’s the difference who goes where???

  2. There was some local pushback to Joe because of what he did at Lee. There’s a lot of people locally that don’t like how he ran Lee and people in Claremont were afraid of what he’d do here.
