Friday’s scheduled NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Viriginia Is For Racing Lovers 150 has been postponed to steady rain this evening at Richmond Raceway.
The race was will now be run following Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Richmond Raceway. The Whelen Modified Tour event is expected to see a green flag at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Before the rains come in Richmond the field for the event was set in qualifying with Austin Beers winning the pole.
Justin Bonsignore was second in qualifying and Patrick Emerling was third. Bryan Narducci, making his Whelen Modified Tour debut, was fourth in qualifying. Click here for full qualifying results.
Horrible rain.. Saturday looks worse..high winds 40 plus mph.. 80 percent rain .. Sunday or Monday it may happen… darn we just can’t get any luck with weather so far …
Looks like the rain ending now about 1pm then sun and windy so that should help dry out quickly. Fingers crossed
