Zachem also was assessed a post-race time/lap penalty with his car placed behind Fortin’s car in the official finishing order with Zachem now scored as finishing 20th in the event.
Nascar is doing him a favor by not competing in that deflated tour anyways. Race the opens. Less cost, usually more money payout.
Doug Coby was also fined for contact under yellow with the # 46 car of Anthony Nocella ….. Wait for it….. Crickets……?? level playing field..??
I cant say ive ever rooted for a modified team to shut down, but ill make an exception for team Fortin.
and they cant run open shows. they can hardly even compete at the weekly level shows at riverhead. and everyone hates them there just as much.
Isn’t this the second time Zachem has been involved in a fight after an event? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Is there any video of this event?
Max Zachem is a squid a Sk light driver at best !
did anyone complaining about the 7ny read the penalty report?
“Intentionally DAMAGING”
there was no damage done to the 46.
All the talk about Coby Coby Coby. But nobody was aware of this?
I was wondering how Fortin and Zachem got locked together. Now I know.
Well, the real tension with this news that Fortin is not running the Tour anymore is if it will help the 01 move up a spot in the standings by the end of the season.
01 should pass the 34 long before that, just needs 8 points per race the rest of the year which should take four or five races max
Every time , at any level of NASCAR racing , when penalties are given , the inconsistence’s are in the shadows. Such as good for one but not all . If NASCAR wants to send a message , than do a penalty blitz on “all” . Is NASCAR using penalty’s as a convenient revenue driver ? The police departments use a ticket blitz as a revenue driver.
Isn’t his nickname Max “attack em” Zachem.
There is to much drama in auto racing, it’s become a racing soap opera. Fans are turning away from all motorsports and losing interest. The stands are not sellouts like they want us to believe, maybe that’s why we never see full bleachers on TV. REAL auto racing died years ago
