The time has come for one of the biggest, most spectacular displays of insanity one will ever see on the highbanks of Thunder Road! Sunday, August 5th brings the 39th annual Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200. Dubbed ‘The People’s Race,’ the annual Enduro 200 gives everyone the chance to leave the grandstands, hop the fence and take on their favorite Speedbowl relatively cheaply for the glory, the fun and a chance to pocket $3,000 and join an exclusive list in the Thunder Road history books.
Thunder Road officials once again expect over 100 of the finest junkyard machines to assemble for the 200-lap spectacle with teams signed up from across New England ready to take on the highbanks. Entries have already revealed an international field of automobiles from big and heavy Oldsmobile’s and Chevrolets to European BMW’s and Saab’s, a Volkswagen Rabbit and a few rough and tumble Toyota’s, Subaru’s and a Nissan or two! Will it be a ‘Win on Sunday, Buy on Monday’ kind-of event? If a vehicle can make it through the Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200 at Thunder Road, one would hope it could make it through a winter in Northern New England, too!
Sunday will also feature the annual Bolduc Metal Recycling Street Stock Special. The 50-lap showdown for the rk Miles Street Stocks is the longest event for the most competitive four-cylinder division in New England with over thirty machines ready to tackle the extra-distance challenge. Former Street Stock Special winners Jeffrey Martin, Tommy ‘Thunder’ Smith and Jamie Davis are looking for another big 50-lapper trophy to add to their collection while hard charging point leaders Cam Powers, James Dopp and Taylor Hoar are looking to strut their stuff in front of Sunday’s Enduro crowd and the fans at home on FloRacing. The 50-lap Street Stock Special also kicks off an all-new Street Stock Triple Crown with points tabulated for the three-in-a-row dates starting Sunday and into Thursday, August 10th and wrapping up on Super Saturday, August 12th.
Thunder Road continues a busy midsummer stretch on Quarry Hill with the world-famous Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200. In its 39th edition, ‘The People’s Race’ is set to feature another gigantic field of folks in search of the $3,000 winner’s share on board some of the wackiest looking machines you’ve ever seen! Don’t forget, Sunday will also feature the Bolduc Metal Recycling 50-lap Special for the rk Miles Street Stocks as they kick off their all-new Triple Crown! Post Time for Enduro Sunday is 6:00pm with adult general admission set at $18, children 12-6 for $5 and kids five and under free! Family Four Packs are also available for $36.
