An unprecedented summer of rain here in Central Vermont has culminated to set up an exciting Labor Day Weekend of racing for New England race fans who are looking for a double-shot of Thunder Road action to bookend their summer of 2023! The rain-delayed Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night this Friday, September 1st jump-starts the weekend with the fan-favorite Run-What-U-Brung spectator drags as fans gather in for their shot at the Thunder Road highbanks in their daily drivers!
While qualifying was completed for the rk Miles Street Stocks and Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models, setting and locking their feature event line-ups, the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors will begin Friday’s racing program with their qualifying heats at 7:00pm. All four feature events and the world-famous Run-What-U-Brung spectator drags will follow.
Make it a weekend with camping opening to all self-contained units at 9:00am on Friday, September 1st, campers must be off Thunder Road property by Noon on Monday, September 4th. Only self-contained units will be allowed on property, no tents, with a $40 weekend fare. If you’re looking for a Saturday show to make it three days of thrilling racing excitement, the 5th annual Leaf Peepers 100 for the Late Model ranks over at White Mountain Motorsports Park begins at 6:00pm on September 2nd before Thunder Road returns to the limelight on Sunday.
Sunday, September 3rd brings the $5,000-to-win 45th Labor Day Classic 200 presented by New England Federal Credit Union as the American-Canadian Tour invades Thunder Road. Along with the ACT Tour, the Mighty Mini Stock Tour also invades with the Flying Tigers, Street Stocks and Road Warriors completing the scheduled showdown!
Thunder Road returns to action for a double-shot of Vermont’s best short track racing on Labor Day weekend starting with the weather-delayed Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night, including the Run-What-U-Brung showdown on Friday, September 1st before coming back to life on Sunday, September 3rd for the 45th Labor Day Classic 200 presented by New England Federal Credit Union for the American-Canadian Tour.
Friday’s Post Time is set for 7:00pm with adult general admission on sale for $15, kids 12-6 for $5 and children 5 and under free with the Family Four Pass (two adults, two kids) available for $30. Sunday’s Post Time is set for 1:00pm with adult general admission available for $25, kids 12-6 for $10 and children 5 and under free!
