Thompson Notes: Ryan Waterman Gets Second Consecutive Limited Sportsman

THOMPSON – Ryan Waterman continued his presence as a 2023 fixture on the podium for the Limited Sportsman division at Wednesday at Thompson Speedway. 

Waterman rolled to his second consecutive victory at Thompson in the 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature at Thompson. 

Waterman also had a second in the season opening event on April 8 and a third place in the season’s second event on June 22. 

“This car is pretty stout right now,” Waterman said. “I knew I had to just take care of it.” 

Waterman, of Danielson, also has six victories in the Street Stock division at Stafford in 2023. 

Scott Sundeen of Douglas, Mass was second Wednesday at Thompson and Corey Fanning of Mapleville, R.I. third. 

Matt Lowinski-Loh of Milford, Mass. held off Andrew Molleur and Nick Johnson on a lap 23 restart and held on to win the 25-lap Late Model feature. 

Molleur, of Shelton, was second and Johnson, of Rehoboth, Mass third. 

Kevin Moore of Moosup topped the field in the 15-lap Mini Stock feature. 

Dave Trudeau of Mansfield was second and Eric Bourgeois of East Haddam was third.
