The all-important Booth Bros/Hood Vermont Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday, September 30 sets the stage for Sunday’s 61st Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Along with qualifying for the Vermont Milk Bowl and the Mini Milk Bowls, Saturday will also feature action-packed events for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and the New England Supermodified Series (NESS).
After making the long-haul to Spud Speedway in Caribou, Maine last Saturday, the PASS Super Late Model titans return to Thunder Road for the Booth Bros/Hood Showdown. D.J. Shaw would love to continue his hot-streak after taking the Feed the County 150 at Spud and looks to make it two-for-two in the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust machine. Along with Shaw, Johnny Clark and Joey Doiron were able to make-up some ground on PASS point leader Max Cookson while Trevor Sanborn, Dennis Spencer Jr., Andy Shaw and Gabe Brown are also set to join the 150-lap spectacular.
The New England Supermodified Series season is coming down to the wire with just two events left in the 2023 season. Bourne, Massachusetts’ Ben Seitz continues to lead the standings even after disaster struck in the latter half of the White Mountain Fall Foliage feature two weeks ago. Defending champion Rob Summers has had a tough follow-up season but has shown speed in the last few events while Dan Bowles and Vern Romanowski have been at the front all season long.
Two-lap Time Trials for the American-Canadian Tour Late Models will determine both the front row for the Vermont Milk Bowl and the line-up for the Triple 50-lap heat races also held on Saturday. The Booth Bros./Hood $1,000 pole award and $500 outside pole awards will be presented to the two fastest time trialers while each of the three Triple 50 heat races host their own $4,300 for the top-10 finishers.
Both the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and rk Miles Street Stocks will have their respective group time trials on Saturday before contesting the first segment in their two-segment Mini Milk Bowl spectaculars. The second segment for both the Flying Tigers and Street Stocks will be contested on Sunday.
Racing returns for the last great show of the Thunder Road season with the 61st Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st. Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Saturday will feature Milk Bowl qualifying for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models along with the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and the New England Supermodified Series. Post Time is set for 1:00pm on Saturday. Saturday-Only general admission is available at $30 for adults, $10 for kids 12-6 with children 5 and under free. The Two-Day (Saturday and Sunday) ticket is also available at $50 for adults and $20 for kids 12-6.
Sunday, October 1 is headlined by the $100,000 Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank with the Flying Tigers and Street Stocks finishing out their Mini Milk Bowl alongside the Mini Milk Bowl for the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors. Post Time is set for 12:15pm on Sunday starting with the Last Chance, B-Feature for the ACT/Maplewood-Irving Oil Late Models followed by opening ceremonies with the Green Flag set to drop on Segment #1 of the Vermont Milk Bowl at 1:30pm. Sunday-Only general admission is available at $30 for adults, $10 for kids 12-6 with children 5 and under free!
