Night eight of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway will see the Tour Type Modified division hit the track for the fifth night of five consecutive nights of features. Ron Silk scored victory in the Tour Type Modified division opening event Monday night. Ryan Preece was victorious in Tuesday night’s second 50-lap feature of the week. Matt Hirschman won the John Blewett III Memorial 76 for the third consecutive year on Wednesday. Hirschman got his second consecutive victory in Thursday’s 50-lap event. Hirschman will be looking to win his fifth consecutive Richie Evans Memorial 100 in the Tour Type Modified division. The event was cancelled in 2023 due to rain. Overall Hirschman has won the event a record six times in nine attempts.
