THOMPSON – When it comes to the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and its debut at Thompson Speedway Saturday, the team “heat races” certainly had nothing to do with the weather.
Series officials fought through multiple delays caused by off and on cold drizzle, but found a way to get through their three qualifying events in preparation for the season opening Constantine Paving & Sealing 75 at Thompson Speedway.
Peake Brooke Veterinary Center and Dr. Gwenn Mobile Vet sponsored the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series heat races Saturday at Thompson.
The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series is making its debut at Thompson Speedway.
Reigning series champion Matt Hirschman topped the first heat race of the day. Eric Berndt was second and Tyler Hines third.
Anthony Nocella topped the second heat race of the day. Jake Johnson was second and Jon McKennedy third.
Ronnie Williams topped the field in the third and final heat race. George Bessette Jr. was second and Ron Silk third.
