Matt Hirschman Wins Winchester Open 100 At Monadnock Speedway

Another week, another New England Modified win for Matt Hirschman. 

On June 1 at Seekonk Speedway Matt Hirschman broke out of a cold stretch by the topping the field in the in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour J&R Pre-Cast 150. 

Saturday the Northampton, Pa. driver made it back-to-back Saturday celebrations. 

Hirschman took home the $5,000 winner’s purse by scoring victory in the Winchester Open 100 Saturday at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H.

Matthew Kimball of Bennington, N.H., the 2023 winner of the event, was second. Jon McKennedy of Chelmsford, Mass. was third.

  1. Being an old Danbury guy (Stockwell fan ) I like to follow all the Area Danbury racers . Great to see Hodgdon and Kopcik do well , good runs for both up north the last few weeks

    Was listening over the scanner the whole race. There was a lot of confusion about when pit road was open. The flagman at the entrance of pit road was hanging the green flag over the side of his stand but the spotters were being told the pits were closed. A few got penalized because of the confusion. Not that it would have made much difference, Hirschman was untouchable once he got out front. Watched the race from the stands next to the bar- my new favorite place to sit at Monadnock. The track looks great with the new pavement.
