(Press release from Stafford Speedway)
Stafford Speedway and the American Woolen Company have partnered to create a unique prize for the inaugural GAF Roofing Modified Masters scheduled for Wednesday, July 17th. The American Woolen Company, located in Stafford Springs, CT, has produced a one of a kind white Modified Masters Blazer for the winner of the 100 lap race.
“More than Making America Great Again, American Woolen and Stafford Speedway are Making America Make again,” explained Jacob Long, American Woolen Company President. “This one of a kind Modified Masters Blazer was constructed in Rochester, New York from ultra-fine cloth woven right here in Stafford Springs. The fabric was produced with choice wool sourced from sheep roaming the hills of Shaniko, Oregon.”
The GAF Roofing Modified Masters is a new race on the Stafford Speedway schedule, the only midweek event on the calendar. Drivers such as Ron Silk, Woody Pitkat, Eric Goodale, and Ryan Newman have already entered the July 17th event.
“When Jacob reached out to work together we we’re very excited to come up with something unique that can highlight Stafford Springs,” explained Stafford COO Paul Arute. “Similar to the Masters golf tournament, we look forward to creating a new tradition for the winner to receive the American Woolen blazer when they win the Modified Masters at Stafford Speedway.”
