STAFFORD – On July 20 at Monadnock Speedway, Stafford Speedway Limited Late Model division regular RJ Surdell had what ultimately became a viral moment. Surdell was competing in the Evolve Pro Truck Challenge series event at Monadnock.
During the race Surdell and his son Damien Palardy had issues on track, with the pair eventually spinning together. Under caution Surdell slammed Palardy’s truck. Video of the moment ending up going viral on social media over the past week. We talked with Surdell Friday at Stafford about the incident and the moment going viral nationally on social media.
“I hope they enjoyed the show,” Surdell said. “Not for nothing, I don’t like to do that but when people right rear stuff like that and disobey what’s going on and racing etiquette out on the race track sometimes you’ve just got to give them a lesson. Sometimes they just feel like they can do whatever they want out there so I took care of the business.”
