STAFFORD – Former Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman already knows what visiting victory lane is like at Stafford Speedway.
The longtime NASCAR Cup Series regular won events with the former SRX Series at Stafford Speedway in 2022 and 2023.
Now the South Bend, Indiana native will go looking to get his first victory with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series at Stafford.
Newman, an 18-time winner in the Cup Series, has been added to the entry list for the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series NAPA Fall Final at Stafford on Sept. 28.
“We’re beyond thrilled to have a driver of Ryan Newman’s caliber on our entry list,” said Renee Dupuis, Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Director of Series Development. “He’s an added bonus to what promises to be a stacked field.”
Newman, who has four career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victories, will be making his first Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series start driving for team owner John-Michael Shenette.
“I want to give a special shout out to my friend, David Miller at USNEPower, for making this happen by coming on board as the primary sponsor of Ryan for our headlining race at Stafford’s NAPA Fall Final,” Dupuisa said. “Through USNEPower, David has been incredibly supportive of local/regional racers – including in our own series, backing Doug DiPisa’s #13 entry piloted by Max Zachem this year. As a community, it’s meaningful when a company comes in and finds real value in repeatedly investing marketing dollars in short track racing.”
