It was a celebration of Jencik brothers domination in the Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Speedway.

Devon Jencik of Canton passed his younger brother Connor Jencik for the lead on lap 16 to win the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature.

“We had a good car,” Devon Jencik said. This is where we should have been last week. Unfortunately it didn’t go the way we hoped. This is probably the best way we could have rebounded from that. It was good racing with [Connor]. Nice clean race. We pretty much dominated the race the two of us. We had a straightaway on [the field] at one point until we started battling. Overall a great night for both of us.”

It was the second win of the season for Devon Jencik.

Connor Jencik of Canton was second and R.J. Surdell of Willington third.

Connor Jencik checked out from the field in the opeing laps. Lap after lap though, Devon Jencik cut his brother’s big lead down.

Devon Jencik got on Connor Jencik’s bumper on lap 15. On lap 16 Devon Jencik made a diving move to the low lane into turn one. The pair went side-by-side down the backstretch and through turn three before Devon Jencik cleared Connor Jencik for the lead off of turn four.

“Not much I could do there,” Connor Jencik said. “The car sort of fell off. I didn’t want to junk him, he’s my brother and all. I kind of gave it up a little bit, but I’m not going to junk him.”

Travis Downey of Barkhamstead held off Jason Lafayette on the final lap to get his third victory of the season in the 20-lap Street Stock feature.

Lafayette, of Somers, was second and Jason Raymond of Somers was third.
