  1. Question to anyone who rated this race above 7. Was it your first time watching a modified race? 40 years plus fan of modified racing here and I found that race to be awful boring. The first 90 laps before the caution just looked like a practice session. How could anybody say that was one of the best races they’ve ever seen? The 8 or 9 laps where Silk tried to hold off Justin was good racing, but that was the only thing exciting about anything.

Rick, there are plenty of idiot race fans that think watching a practice session is exciting. It’s the mod tour at Thompson. At HAS to be good. Boy do I miss the days that the world series was the final race for most everyone. Some of the drama in the tour at Thompson was awesome, when it meant something.

  3. I wouldn’t exactly call practice “exciting”, however I do find it interesting. Many times you can tell who’s fast and who’s not. You can follow the teams’ progress as some will get faster with their setup changes. Hopefully no one has any mechanical woes or arguments with walls and guardrails, creating drama before the race even starts. Can they fix it? Can they still make the field? Will they have to start in the back? Are they done for the day? It also provides more info for my Raceday picks when I’m attending. And I may not be a genius, but I don’t consider myself an idiot for enjoying practice either.

This world series was the lowest tour car count ever? Is that correct?? SHAME
