  1. Dave Jawrockiz says

I guess this means no MX5 Cup there next year.

  2. It would have been nice of them to put in on Friday or Saturday, one of the days fans might actually show up, as part of a double-header. NASCAR seems to insist on only one race a day these days.

This absolutely breaks my heart! We already had plans to attend the stand alone event. Now it’s almost impossible. My wife had become a fan as this last one was her first Modified race. It all worked well for a Saturday race. Well, leave it to the management at Nascar to screw things up again. By the way, the MX5 cup race was awesome!

That’s nice put the two most boring series on the last race of the season Together, they couldn’t pay me to come see those races i’d rather watch a bobsled race in Alaska

  6. marshall, when would you propose to run the race on those days? and where would you propose to put another series worth of cars and trailers in the track on those days?

  7. @zig I’m not the head of logistics for NASCAR, but if I were and NASCAR wanted to have a mod tour race on one of those days I’d figure it out. Clearly two sets of haulers can fit in the track at once if they run Cup qualifying on Saturday with the Xfinity series race, so they could run it on Friday with the Trucks.

  8. “Clearly two sets of haulers can fit in the track at once if they run Cup qualifying on Saturday with the Xfinity series race”

clearly they cant, because the xfinity cars and equipment are unloaded from their haulers and the haulers end up parked like a mile down the road.

friday will have the truck series with their haulers and the xfinity without.

saturday will have cup cars with their haulers and xfinity still without.
