The Connection Between Music And Sports Over The Years

So this is a little different than the norm here. Let’s talk about music. I’m kind of a music freak. And my tastes in music run the gamut, from classic rock to country hits to classical to hip hop to metal and most everything in between.

I was recently watching a documentary short on the history of the Hartford Whalers and during that they went into how the song Brass Bonanza became such a part of Whaler’s history. I was a big Whalers fans growing up and then was lucky enough to cover the team as a college student and then later as a writer for the Hartford Courant. So yeah, Brass Bonanza is burned into my head forever.

But watching that documentary got me thinking about certain music that became ingrained into my brain as part of working as a journalist for the last 30 years.
