(Press release from Stafford Speedway)

Much like teams and drivers are getting geared up for the 2025 season at Stafford Speedway, Casella Waste is gearing up for a huge season at Stafford. Casella Waste will continue its role as a title sponsor by sponsoring the Inaugural Casella Waste SK Modified® 80, set for Friday, June 6th. Casella Waste had been the title sponsor of the Casella Waste Open 80 the past two seasons and are now transferring that title sponsorship to the newly created SK Modified® 80.
“We’re all happy and excited to be partnered with Stafford for another season,” said DiMauro. “How cool is it for us to be chosen as the sponsor of the Inaugural SK 80? That’s pretty awesome for us and we’re all pretty proud to be sponsoring that race. That should be a great race and we’re definitely looking forward to it.”
Casella Waste will also return to Stafford for their fourth season as a SK Modified® contingency sponsor, offering a weekly $125 bonus to each 2nd place finisher during the 2025 season.
“We’re always excited to be part of Stafford Speedway along with the Arute family, they run a first class facility,” said Mark DiMauro, Sr., Division Manager for Casella Waste in Connecticut. “We’re always happy to help with things like the contingency program, sponsoring a lap at the Spring Sizzler®, and the TC 13 Shoot Out race. From all my years in racing, we know exactly what it takes just to get the car to the track each week so every little bit helps and we’re happy to offer that bonus to the SK competitors.”
“Casella Waste has become a great partner to Stafford Speedway and the local racing community in the last few seasons,” explained Stafford COO Paul Arute. “The Casella Waste SK Modified® 80 is a new event for us in 2025 and will be a part of the Tick Mike SK Modified Triple Crown. We are excited to continue to put a focus on our weekly race teams and the entire team at Casella supports that effort.”
The Stafford contingency program and Casella Waste SK 80 won’t be the only places that will carry the Casella name during the 2025 season. Casella Waste is returning as the primary sponsor of the #3 SK Modified® car driven by Troy Talman and they will also serve as the primary sponsor of Mark DiMauro, Jr.’s, Sr. Outlaw kart as well as several other cars in Stafford’s lower divisions.
“This will be our third year together with Troy Talman, who is coming off a 3-win season and a win in the Spring Sizzler®,” said DiMauro. “We’re going to be in with Troy again this season as a primary sponsor and we’re also going to be helping out with Chris Meyer in the Late Model division, and Nick Hovey and Ron Midford in the SK Light division. We’ll also be back as the primary sponsor on Mark, Jr’s Sr. Outlaw kart. We’re wicked excited about Troy this year and we just came off of winning a championship with Nick Hovey at New Smyrna, so Casella Waste is riding high right now.”
