In just a little over two weeks, the 2025 short track racing schedule kicks off in Connecticut with the running of the Icebreaker weekend at Thompson Speedway.
For John-Michael Shenette it will be a weekend of living out a dream he’s had since childhood. Shenette grew up in Thompson and spent time as a youngster working at Thompson Speedway. His dream was to get the chance to run a Modified at the track. The Icebreaker will give him the chance to live that dream and do it twice in one weekend.
We caught up with Shenette to talk about his path in racing, the preparations he’s made in developing his racing team and the big plans he has for that team in 2025.
