Andrew Molleur Tops SK Modifieds At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

Last year Andrew Molleur won his first SK Modified championship at Stafford Speedway and finished second in the SK Modified standings at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. 

Saturday Molleur took a big step in the quest to adding a Speedbowl SK championship to his resume. 

Molleur, of Shelton, won the 35-lap SK Modified feature Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. 

It was the 10th career SK Modified victory at the Speedbowl for Molleur. He had two wins in the division in 2024. 

It marked the 22nd career victory overall at the Speedbowl for Molleur, who also has six Late Model wins, four SK Light Modified wins, one Legends car win and one Bandolero win at the shoreline oval. 

Adam Gada of Bozrah was second and reigning Speedbowl SK Modified champion Anthony Flannery was third. 

Timmy Jordan of Plainfield and Keith Rocco of Wallingford rounded out the top-five respectively in the SK Modified feature. 

After two events, Flannery sits atop the SK Modified standings at the Speedbowl, with Molleur two points behind in second place. Rocco is third (three points behind), Paul Kusheba is fourth (four points behind) and Todd Owen is fifth (six points behind). 

Nickolas Hovey of Chaplin topped the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature. 

Evan Bourgeois of East Haddam was second and Robert Bloxsom III of Stratford was third. 

Devin Deshaies of Oakland, R.I. won the 30-lap Late Model feature. Deshaies is now two-for-two in the division in 2025 after winning the season opening event. 

Brody Monahan of Waterford was second and Randy Cole Jr. of Middleton, Mass. was third. 

Aaron Plemons of Uncasville topped the 25-lap Street Stock feature. Jordan Hadley of Waterford was second and Al Stone III of Durham third. 

Zachary Martinez of North Kingstown, R.I. won the 25-lap Legends feature. Scott Cestodio of Swansea, Mass. topped the 20-lap Crown Vic feature.
