On Wednesday RaceDayCT reported that NASCAR was examining the possibility of running NASCAR Modified Tour events at Monadnock Speedway on back-to-back days in July.
On Friday NASCAR made that speculation official news.
The NASCAR Modified Tour Cheshire County Clash was rained out last Saturday at Monadnock Speedway. On Friday NASCAR announced that the event will be run on Sunday July 20 at Monadnock Speedway.
The NASCAR Modified Tour was already scheduled to run the USNE Power Duel At The Dog on Saturday July 19 at Monadnock.
“We appreciate the collaboration with JDV Productions and Monadnock Speedway in finding a makeup date that will ensure we can put on a successful and entertaining race for our fans,” NASCAR Modified Tour series director Jimmy Wilson said. “While we can’t control the weather and it’s always disappointing to postpone a race, we are looking forward to a great weekend of racing at Monadnock in July.”
Tickets previously purchased for the originally scheduled May 3 event will be honored on July 20. JDV Productions announced Friday that they expect offers some “double-header deals” on tickets for the weekend.
