When does back-to-back victories not feel like back-to-back victories? When there’s what feels like a full offseason in between events.

Thanks to rain, and lots of it, there was six weeks in between “consecutive” SK Modified victories at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl for Andrew Molleur.

Molleur, of Shelton, topped the field in the 35-lap SK Modified feature Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

It was the second victory in three events at the track this year for Molleur. He won the last SK Modified event run at the Speedbowl way back on May 10. It was Molleur’s 11th career SK Modified victory at the track and his 23rd win overall at the shoreline oval.

Keith Rocco of Wallingford was second and Rob Janovic of Waterford third.

Jason Palmer of Berlin made his first start of the season one to remember in winning the 30-lap Late Model feature.

It was the 108th victory overall for Palmer at the Speedbowl, moving him into sole possession of second place on the track’s all-time win list. He had been tied for second on the list with Phil Rondeau. Rocco leads the all-time list with 154 victories. Palmer has 55 Late Model wins and 53 Legends wins.

Kyle Gero of Uncasville was second and Devin Deshaies of Oakland, R.I. was third.

Aaron Plemons completed a weekend streak of victories by winning the 25-lap Street Stock feature. Plemons also won the 20-lap Street Stock feature Friday at Stafford Speedway.

Jordan Hadley of Quaker Hill was second and Ike Chima of New London third.

Ray Christian III of Uncasville won the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. Andrew Krzeminski of Haddam was second and Christopher Garside of Groton third.

Milania Shilosky of Colchester won the 25-lap Truck feature. Jaysin Beal of Ledyard was second and Charles Beal of Ledyard third.

Dylan Freeman of Unionville won the 25-lap Legends feature. Brandon Martinez of North Kingstown, R.I. was second and Zachary Martinez of North Kingstown, R.I. was third.
