Racing Card Cancelled At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

As has been the case for most of the 2025 racing season locally, rain is once again winning the weekend.

And due to the expectation of storms in the area for Saturday afternoon and evening, management at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl announced this morning that their Saturday night racing card has been cancelled due to weather.

A post on the track’s social media read: “Due to the forecasted weather conditions for our Saturday Racing Program scheduled on June 7: RACING HAS BEEN CANCELLED! Of course all we want to do is put on a good racing program and rain and thunderstorm conditions do not make that possible. We look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday for the Mini Stock 50 along with Late Models, SK Lights, Street Stocks, Trucks, and Legend Cars.”
