Monadnock Speedway management has deemed the motor of 604 Modified division driver Brian Robie to be legal following a dyno test.
A post on Facebook Tuesday morning from Monadnock Speedway management read: “In a post race inspection, Robie’s motor was removed and taken to a well respected non bias engine builder. The motor was tested and had the correct cubic inch displacement. The motor was then tested on a dyno and found to be within the manufacturer’s specifications. The motor seals were also inspected by a GM representative and were found to be in the proper locations as installed by the factory and not tampered with.”
Mangement at Monadnock Speedway was not immediately available for comment Tuesday morning.
The Monadnock Speedway tech staff confiscated the motor Saturday after Robie won for the fourth time in six events this season.
Tech officials at the track measured cubic inches on the motors of six competitors in the 604 Modified division feature on Saturday at Monadnock. Five of the cars tested at the same number with Robie’s car measuring higher than the five other cars.
That led to Robie’s motor being tested on a dyno by an independent motor builder.
