Management of the Our Motorsports NASCAR Xfinity Series team confirmed Friday that the team will shut down.

Fox Motorsports reporter Bob Pockrass reported Friday that the team will cease operations.

Our Motorsports is owned by former NASCAR Modified Tour team owner Chris Our. The Our Motorsports team began racing in the Xfinity Series in 2020.

The team had most recently been fielding a car for driver Kris Wright. It was announced earlier this week that Wright and the team would part ways and that Kaz Grala would take over driving duties with the team. The is expected to run its final event at Dover this weekend with Grala driving.

Over six seasons Our Motorsports fielded cars in the Xfinity Series for a host of drivers. Brett Moffitt, Patrick Emerling, Jairo Avila Jr., Andy Lally, Ty Dillon, Blaine Perkins, Brandon Brown, Sage Karen, Parker Retzlaff, David Starr, Kyle Weatherman, Blaine Perkins, Tyler Reddick, Anthony Alfredo, Natalie Decker, Tanner Berryhill, J.J. Yeley, Jeb Burton and Wright have all made appearances with Our Motorsports on the Xfinity Series over the team’s span of operations.

Our owned a NASCAR Modified Tour team from 2012 to 2015. Over the four season stint on the NASCAR Modified Tour Our fielded cars for seven-time Modified Tour champion Mike Stefanik, 2008 Modified Tour champion Ted Christopher, Keith Rocco and Tommy Barrett.

Stefanik had two wins for the team in 2013 and Barrett had one series win for Our in 2014.

Our arrived as a part-time NASCAR Modified Tour team owner in 2012. During that season Our fielded a car for half the scheduled Modified Tour events for Stefanik, with car owner Ed Marceau fielding Stefanik’s ride for the other half of the schedule.

In 2013 Our went full-time with Stefanik and the team came out of the gate with a victory in the season opening Icebreaker 150 at Thompson. Stefanik also won the Whelen Modified Tour event at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway that season.

After finishing fifth in the standings in 2013, Our and Stefanik parted ways after the season and teenager Tommy Barrett was hired by the team. Barrett went on to finish 12th in the season standings in 2014, with a victory at Bristol as the highlight of the season.

The 2015 season began with unrest on the team. Days after the season opening Icebreaker in April, Barrett was arrested for operating under the influence and was released by the team. Rocco replaced Barrett but his time with the team was short-lived. A broken wrist sidelined Rocco from Modified Tour action midway through this season. Christopher took over the seat from Rocco and closed out the 2015 season with the team.

Our teamed with with former NASCAR Southern Modified Tour champion Andy Seuss for a part-time effort on the ARCA Menards Series from 2016 to 2019 before launching the Xfinity Series program.
