Jon Puleo made his season opening appearance in the SK Modified division at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl Saturday one to remember by scoring victory in the division’s 35 lap feature.
It was the third career SK Modified division win at the Speedbowl for the Branford driver.
Eric Berndt of Cromwell was second and Andrew Molleur of Shelton third.
Molleur (five wins), Berndt (two wins) and Puleo are the only winners in the SK Modified division this season at the Speedbowl.
Nickolas Hovey of Chaplin won the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature. Evan Bourgeois of East Haddam was second and Tyler Chapman of Ellington was third.
Doug Curry of Groton scored victory in the 30-lap Late Model feature. Shawn Gaedeke of Groton was second and Devin Deshaies of Oakland, R.I. was third.
Aaron Plemons of Uncasville topped the 25-lap Street Stock feature. Al Stone III of Durham was second and Jordan Hadley of Waterford third.
Riley Paul of Ledyard won the 25-lap Legends feature.
