Press release from CWPM

CWPM, Connecticut and Rhode Island’s leading waste removal and recycling company, is once again proving that its commitment to the community goes far beyond the services it provides. On Saturday, September 13, CWPM will welcome more than 350 employees and their families as special guests for its Third Annual Race Night at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, joining local race fans for an evening of fast- paced entertainment, family fun, and career opportunities.
The event is part of a busy month of community sponsorships for CWPM, which regularly supports local programs, sporting events, and family-focused initiatives across the region. Race Night has become one of the company’s most anticipated traditions, blending CWPM’s family-first culture with the area’s vibrant racing community.
CWPM Race Night lineup features the Legend Car 50, Mini Stock 50, and Compact Enduro, alongside divisions like Crown Vics, Street Stocks, Trucks, and SK Modifieds. Guests will also enjoy opening ceremonies and a midway autograph session with drivers, making the evening engaging for fans of all ages. Adding a unique touch, winners will take home custom CWPM dumpster trophies, designed to spotlight the company’s industry roots with a fun, community spin.
This year’s event also has a personal touch, with one employee’s son joining the lineup of drivers, a reminder that for many at CWPM, racing is as much a family tradition as it is a community pastime.
“CWPM Night is about more than racing, it’s about coming together as a community,” said Jason Manafort, President and Owner of CWPM. “This track has been part of my life for decades; I raced here growing up, and my nephews and even an employee’s son are now carrying on that tradition. Returning to the Speedbowl with CWPM and sharing this experience with our employees, their families, and our neighbors reminds us why we invest in events like this year after year”.
In addition to the racing action, CWPM will host a career booth during the event to showcase immediate opportunities for drivers and mechanics across all company locations. It’s another way CWPM is investing in the community, creating good jobs while fostering shared experiences.
Known for its dependable, high-quality waste removal, recycling services, and dumpster rentals, CWPM has built a reputation as an industry leader. Its ongoing investment in local events, programs, and partnerships reflects the company’s commitment to giving back and staying connected to the communities it serves.
