Monaco Modified Tri-Track Title Up For Grabs At USNEPower Haunted Hundred At Seekonk

(Press release from the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series)

The closing event on the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series will decide the 2025 champion at Seekonk Speedway with the running of the USNEPower Haunted Hundred XL on Saturday, October 25th.

Three drivers will battle it out in the final event of an action-packed 10-race schedule.  Jon McKennedy leads with 333 points, with Ronnie Williams at 323, only 10 points back, and Chris Pasteryak at 314, still in the hunt.

McKennedy (2014) and Williams (2019) have a Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Championship on their resume, while Pasteryak is seeking his first.  All three drivers are still searching for their first win in 2025.  McKennedy has five top-five and seven top-ten finishes on the series in nine starts, with a best third-place finish at Seekonk in June.  Williams has two top-five and seven top-ten finishes in nine starts, with third-place finishes at Stafford in July and Waterford in August.  Pasteryak has three top-five and seven top-ten finishes in nine starts, with a season-best fourth-place finish at Waterford.

The winner of each event receives fifty points with second getting forty-six.  Points then decrease by two in the top ten and then by one point for each position below tenth.

There will be many contenders vying for the win at Seekonk.  Matt Hirschman has to be considered the favorite at one of his most successful tracks.  He was the winner of Midweek Madness earlier this year at the series’s first 2025 visit to Seekonk in June.  Hirschman along with three-time winners Ron Silk and Jake Johnson and single event winners Austin Beers and Blake Barney look for another win.  It wouldn’t be a surprise if Stephen Kopcik, George Bessette Jr, Woody Pitkat, Teddy Hodgdon, Matt Swanson, or Brett Meservey find victory lane in the ultra-competitive series at the Cement Palace.

As we close the 2025 season, the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series would like to thank all seventy-one teams that competed with us.  Without you and all our supporters, sponsors, and fans, none of this would be possible.  Thank you for making 2025 such a special season.

Like to see Pasteryak come from behind to win the championship

For those on here, you know who you are, who knock the full time support of teams on the nascar tour versus tri track:

TriTrack 2025 9 races 7 cars attempted every race one race left.
Whelen 2025 15 races 11 cars attempted every race

And tried to track is more localized. Hmmmm

    • Big Orange,
You’re comparing apples to oranges. One series has a very significant points payout system, the other does not. There’s huge end of the season financial incentive to run full-time on the Whelen Modified Tour and that same end of the season financial incentive does not exist with Tri-Track.

    Interesting stat for 2025:

Tri track 9 races 7 cars competed in every race

Whelen 15 races 11 cars competed in every race.

    • Bigorange, we saw this the first time you posted. Not sure the point you’re trying to make comparing a series with a massive end of the season point fund to a series that does not have any point fund.

Sorry did mean to send second comment.

So what was the draw of tri track at the beginning that regularly drew 35+ cars, and now can’t sustain that?

Is it expansion to 10 races?

    • Bigorange,
Climate of short track racing. Participation numbers have decreased across the board in short track racing divisions in the Northeast in the last five years. No series or track has been immune to that happening.

  5. I think it’s also the amount of racing options available to the Modifieds in New England. Besides the WMT, TriTrack increased their schedule with 10, MRS had 9, Stafford had 2 Open shows, and Thompon had 4 Open shows. Not counting the WMT, that’s 21 events, with some scheduled somewhat close together. Setups may have similarities from track to track, but you need time to do that along with prepping the car in general for the next race. Oh, and that’s in between working for a living by each team member. Not everyone has a Phil Moran or a Ryan Stone available to work full time on the race car. And all of this is before actual expenses to race.

    Correction, 25 events, sorry. I can tell it’s Monday…
