Formula DRIFT, North America’s premier professional drifting championship, is bringing its high-horsepower spectacle to Stafford Motor Speedway for the first time ever. The event, scheduled for June 18-20, 2026, will feature both the Formula DRIFT PROand Link ECU PROSPEC Championships as part of the series’ expanded 2026 national schedule.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Formula Drift and the world’s best drifters to Stafford Speedway next summer,” explained Stafford COO Paul Arute. “We’ve long admired Formula Drift’s incredible growth and the professionalism of their series. Bringing this event to Stafford marks an exciting new chapter, establishing Stafford as the home of Formula Drift in New England.”

The Arute family is doing a remarkable job of trying to attract fans that otherwise wouldn’t even think of going to a racetrack and are to be commended for that. It adds to their bottom line and will help ensure that the track keeps new generations of fans to come.
