I saw a few people on Facebook complaining that the Mini Stocks have been dropped as a regular division. Personally, I’m surprised they made it this far. ACT and PASS gave that division five years, and it pretty much never got double-digit car counts outside the World Series. Last year the Mini Stocks had seven events, and only three teams ran all of them. At some point, you just have to say enough is enough.

    • Stating the obvious, but crown vics had far less cars and literally a parade , not much racing.

      • Seekonk Fan,
Difference being, Crown Vic’s were introduced as a division in 2025 and Mini Stocks have been a division at the track for decades. All you have to do is look at the numbers. You had a total of three cars that showed up for all seven Mini Stock events, only eight cars that showed up for more than two races and only 10 cars that showed more than once. Those are numbers that send a message that very few people are interested in running this division any longer.

Looks good ! Hoping for nice weather, big car counts and packed grandstands.

  3. Modifieds at Thompson … life is great!!!!

Thanks to all making this happen, my summer plans are set, AT THOMPSON SPEEDWAY!!!!

  4. Suitcase Jake says

Modifieds at Thompson are the BEST VENUE that you can possibly see them … The High Banks and the speed is unmatched.. If you wanna take a new fan to see a “RACE” take them to Thompson …!! There was a time where the mini stocks were a must see Feature at T… You had 5 different makes of cars and the competition was fierce.. But then the RULES started favoring the Ford Mustangs and slowly the car count dwindled down to what it has become now.. Too bad … you had VW , Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Saturn and a couple others battling every week … Oh well .. it’s History now…

  5. I always liked watching the mini stocks, particularly at the Speedbowl. It seened to work pretty good at Thompson when they used to get 20-25 cars, but overall I always thought Thompson was too big of a track to run them. The minis have some good racing, but not so much on the larger tracks, especially with single-digit car counts. I also feel the same way about Pro4 modifieds. I like them, but keep them on the smaller tracks.

  6. It appears they have also dropped the “open outlaw modified dash for cash” on Wednesday night show’s.
Looks like only 1 race on WS weekend. Is that correct Shawn ?
