STAFFORD – David Arute went Matt Clement for the lead on lap six and went unchallenged the rest of the way to win the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

It was the third victory of the season for Arute, of Tolland, and his 10th career victory at the track.

“I knew we were going to get at least a win because the past few years we’ve been consistent and I’ve been learning a lot about the cars and I feel like I’m one of the top runners,” Arute said. “I knew we were going to get a win or two. Three is better than what we expected. I wish we had a few more top-three finishes. It seems to be either win the race or finish eighth place or behind the top-five. We’ve had a few DNF’s this year and points kind of fell off so now we’re just going out there for wins.

“It feels good to get the 10th win. I know it’s a long ways away from the Teddy Christopher and Keith Rocco standings, but it’s still a lot.”

Andrew Hayes of Charlton, Mass. was second and Albert Saunders of Stafford third.

Daniel Wesson went by D.J. Burnham for the lead on lap 16 and then held off Stephen Kopcik on a green-white-checkered finish to win the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature.

It was the third victory of the season for Wesson, of Monson, Mass.

Kopcik, of Newtown, was second and Burnham, of East Hartford, third.

Reigning division champion Frank L’Etoile of Wethersfield extended his lead in his quest to make it two consecutive titles by rolling to his third victory of the season in the 15-lap DARE Stock feature.

Brandon Michael of Granville, Mass. was second and Dan Dembek of Hampden, Mass. third.

Mikey Flynn of Hampden, Mass. picked up his first career victory in the 20-lap Legends feature.

Teddy Hodgon IV of Danbury was second and Noah Korner of Canton third.
