
UPDATE 6:23 pm – It has been confirmed that the crew member that was transported to a local medical facility during Whelen Modified Tour practice Saturday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway was struck by a Whelen Modified Tour car in the garage area.
3:46 pm – NASCAR has confirmed that a crew member on the No. 46 Whelen Modified Tour team was removed from the track during practice today at Martinsville Speedway and transported to a local medical facility.
Details are still sketchy involving what took place.
At least two people on scene said it appeared emergency responders were performing what looked like CPR efforts on the individual.

Well, that certainly sucks! Hope he only has no serious injuries, although if indeed they were performing CPR, that’s not good. Hopes and prayers for this person and their family.
Praying for the person who needed medical attention ? to have a speedy recovery.
Praying that the crew member recovers fully. The garage and put areas can be pretty hectic. I remember my first time in the pit at Thompson and Stafford was eye opening. Cars move through there faster than you think and you can’t be lollygagging around there. Pit crew members know that and are used to it for the most part.
