Justin Bonsignore Wins Pole For Whelen Modified Tour Event At Martinsville

Justin Bonsignore’s mission to capture a fourth NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship will start from the front tonight at Martinsville Speedway. 

Bonsignore led the way in qualifying Saturday for tonight’s Whelen Modified Tour season ending Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 200 at Martinsville. 

Bonsignore goes into the event holding a 10-point lead over Ron Silk in the series standings. Patrick Emerling is third in the standings, 24 points behind Bonsignore. 

Bonsignore won series titles 2018, 2020 and 2021. 

Silk, the reigning series champion, also won a series title in 2011. 

Silk was 13th fastest out of 23 cars in qualifying. Emerling was 10th fastest. 

Luke Baldwin won second fastest and will join Bonsignore on the front row. Jacob Lutz was third fastest.
