In 2024 one of the biggest surprises on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour was the performance and strength of the first-year Rich Gautreau owned No. 1 team with veteran driver Patrick Emerling. With crew chief Dale Hedquist leading the way for the first year operation, Emerling ended up winning three races, battled at the top of the standings for much of the year and ended up third overall in the final series standings.
We talked today with Emerling about his plans for 2025 and especially how those plans include action on the Whelen Modified Tour in 2025.
