And on Wednesday NASCAR revealed in a weirdly awkward and head scratching way how they’re celebrating that anniversary with the release of a list of the Top-40 NASCAR Modified Tour drivers of all time.

It’s a cool concept, a seemingly easy and fun way to create recognition, debate and dialogue about the series, and yet somehow NASCAR has found a way to step on their air hose so to speak and failed on the execution of it all.
