Saturday’s in New England this racing season have had one overarching theme, and that is rain.
And that’s the case once again this weekend.
Rain is expected for much of the day in the area and that led to management at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl making an early call Saturday morning to cancel tonight’s racing card at the shoreline oval.
It marks the fourth consecutive week of a rained out Saturday program at the Speedbowl.
