Mangagment of the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series announced a major disqualification Friday from the Oct. 25 USNEPower Haunted Hundred undercard at Seekonk Speedway.
Aaron Plemons, who was victorious in the 40-lap Street Stock Open event, has been disqualified from the victory.
On Thursday Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series officials were notified of lab tests confirming that Plemons’ tires had been tampered with illegally.
A release from the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series read: “On Thursday, November 7, Blue Ridge Race Lab, LLC reported that the tire sample from race winner Aaron Plemons did not meet manufacturer-submitted benchmarks. Duplicate tests confirmed the nonconforming results, resulting in Plemons’ disqualification from the event.”
Second place finisher Randy Moretti was declared the race winner. Justin Beecher, who finished third on Oct. 25, was also disqualified due to the use of an illegal wheel spacer.
It moved Sam Lincoln to a second place finish and Ryan Lineham to third place. Lineham will now receive the $500 Monaco Ford Back 2 Back Challenge bonus.
