Last season, unforeseen circumstances forced Derek Giffith to run a limited season with the Granite State Pro Stock Series.
This year it’s about a full-time, full-on chase for a series title for the 17-year old from Hudson, N.H.
Griffith who has a second place and third place finish during his limited runs in 2013, will drive full-time for LCM Racing in 2014.
“2014 looks to be our year, we have a new car and we seem to be coming together as a team very nicely,” Griffith said in a release. “A championship trophy is our goal this year.”
Griffith will make his Thompson Speedway debut with the Granite State Pro Stock Series season opener April 6.
“We are making our first-ever trip to [Thompson Speedway], I know it’s fast and big,” Griffith said. “I really like the faster tracks and with the help of our crew chief Louie Mechalides, I think we can be fast from the get go. I really think we are poised to do great things this year”
