Justin Bonsignore drove away from the field in the late stages and scored victory in the 35-lap Tour Type Modified feature Thursday at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.
According to The Chrome Horn, Bonsignore, of Holtsville, N.Y., went past Matt Hirschman for the lead early in the event and never trailed again.
Hirschman, of Northampton, Pa., was second . Norwalk’s Ron Silk, who had won three of four Tour Type Modified events at the World Series coming into the night, was third.
The Tour Type Modifieds have their final night of racing at the World Series Friday with the running of the Richie Evans Memorial 100.
