Richard Savary of Canton, Mass. held off Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, N.Y. to win Friday’s 100-lap Valenti Modified Racing Series event at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H.
Savary become the first repeat winner in seven Valenti Modified Racing Series events this season.
Savary, who won on May 4 at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway, led from about the halfway point to the checkered.
Bonsignore held on for second and Steve Masse of Bellingham, Mass. was third.
Todd Szegedy of Ridgefield, who came into the event with the points lead and was coming off his first victory of the season last week at Stafford Motor Speedway, had a season-worst 12th place finish. Valenti Modified Racing Series officials did not announce any updated point standings following the event.
A season-low 18 cars were on hand for the event.
