The heat will be on Friday when a select group of drivers from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Whelen Southern Modified Tour hit the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway oval for the running of the inaugural Whelen All-Star Shootout.
Twenty drivers will take part in the 40-lap dash for cash event on Friday afternoon. No points or on the line, just bragging rights as the first winner ever and $4000 for first place.
So will it be Mike Stefanik making a triumphant return to competition? Ted Christopher adding to his already impressive record in Loudon? Will Sprint Cup Series driver Ryan Newman be stealing the money away from the Modified regulars?
You make the call …
Vote below for who you think will win the Whelen All-Star Shootout. Voting ends at 12:30 Friday afternoon.
Whoever brought a second car just for the shootout will go for it. Otherwise, it will be a careful practice session.
Did anyone attend the test session and witness how Todd ran.
It’s the race for second boys.
How in the hell is Glen Reen an all star?
HOW IN THE IS HALF THE FIELD AN ALL-STAR. ITS A GREAT IDEA OF A RACE,JUST NOT PRACTICAL FOR MOST TEAMS.
NASCAR SHOULD ASK MELISSA FIFIELD TO ENTER RACE,THAT WAY THE MODS CAN HAVE A DANICA TOO. EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY HAPPY.
Love the Mods at NHMS!gOOD lUCK!
