Night one of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway went real well for Ryan Preece to start, then got real bad moments after celebrating in victory lane after the first Tour Type Modified division feature of the season.

Preece, of Berlin, won on opening night for his TS Haulers team, only to get disqualified just after the victory for falling short of minimum weight.

But Saturday night Preece bounced back to get back the one that got away on night one.

Preece easily drove away to win the 35-lap Tour Type Modified feature Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway.

Chuck Hossfeld of Ransomville, N.Y. was second and JR Bertruccio of Centereach, N.Y. was third.

Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, N.Y., who was declared the winner after Preece’s disqualification on Friday, was fourth.
